FAQs
No. AuthorWing is a consultancy and technical services business — not a publisher.
You retain 100% ownership of your work, accounts, ISBNs, and rights at all times. We help you set things up properly and, if you choose, show you how it works so you can manage future books yourself.
We work primarily with nonfiction authors—as this is what our experience is in—who want their book published correctly and professionally, without getting lost in the technical side of self-publishing. However, if you are a fiction author, we can still help you through many of our services, just get in touch.
Many of our clients are:
• first-time authors who want to “do it right” the first time
• experienced authors who’ve had problems with formatting, listings, or ads
• professionals publishing expertise-driven nonfiction who don’t have time to learn how to use the various platforms
Yes — we work with completed manuscripts, usually provided as a Word document or similar editable file.
We don’t offer writing, ghostwriting, or editing services. Our work starts once the content itself is ready to be prepared for publishing.
No — and this is intentional.
AuthorWing focuses on the technical and structural side of publishing: formatting, platform setup, listings, ads, and infrastructure. We don’t offer PR campaigns, bookstore pitching, social-media-led growth, or viral marketing strategies. This is on purpose—we don’t claim to be experts at everything, but what we do do we do very well.
We don’t pitch books to physical retailers or run bookstore placement campaigns.
That said, we do help authors set up industry-standard distribution through platforms like IngramSpark so their books are eligible for bookstore ordering if that’s appropriate for their goals.
No. Anyone who does is not being honest.
What we do guarantee is:
• correct setup
• compliant files
• clear strategy
• transparent execution
Sales depend on many factors outside anyone’s control. We focus on what can be done properly and professionally.
• Done-for-you: We handle the setup, formatting, and execution for you.
• Hands-on / consulting: We work together via one-on-one sessions, and you learn how to manage the process yourself.
In both cases, everything stays in your name, your accounts, and your control.
Not every author needs one — especially early on.
However, a simple, well-structured website can be useful for credibility, discoverability, and long-term control outside retailer platforms. When we build author websites, we keep them lean, practical, and easy to manage, without unnecessary complexity.
Yes — this is one of our core services. We are Certified Amazon Ads specialists.
We help nonfiction authors use Amazon Ads, whether that means full setup and management or guided coaching so you can run campaigns confidently yourself.
Publishing paths aren’t one-size-fits-all.
We offer clear core packages that fit most author needs, plus one-on-one consulting at an hourly rate for specific questions or custom needs. If something is outside our scope, we’ll tell you honestly rather than oversell. Send us an email and we can discuss your needs.
