AI tools have made it easy to churn out books that look like nonfiction but are padded, generic and sometimes simply wrong. Readers deserve better, and so do the authors who put real work into their books. That’s why every book on AuthorWing is human-approved.
What “human-approved” means
We only accept books that were written or substantially edited by a human author who stands behind every word. Before any book goes live, we check it ourselves.
We can’t guarantee that no AI tool was used anywhere in a book’s creation. Many authors use tools for spelling, grammar or research, and that’s fine. What we do guarantee is that a real person wrote or substantially edited the book, and that a real person at AuthorWing reviewed it before approval.
What we check
- The description and a sample of the book itself
- Whether the writing shows real knowledge of the subject, rather than generic filler
- Repetition, padding and the other usual signs of unedited AI text
- Obvious factual errors
What we reject
- Books that appear to be mostly AI-generated
- Low-effort or padded books with little real substance
- Books that aren’t nonfiction
What authors agree to
When submitting a book, every author confirms that it was written or substantially edited by them or another human author, and that they stand behind its content. If a book later turns out to be mostly AI-generated, we’ll remove it from AuthorWing.
