Human-Approved Certification™

Review Criteria

Human-Approved Certification™ is awarded to nonfiction books that demonstrate clear human authorship, original thinking, and editorial care.

Each submission is reviewed manually by an experienced nonfiction author. Certification is granted only when a book meets the criteria below.

1. Authorship & Originality

To qualify, the book must:

  • Be written primarily by the submitting author
  • Reflect original thinking, structure, and voice
  • Go beyond generic or mass-produced content

Responsible use of tools (including AI) is permitted, but the book must not read as automated, templated, or assembled without meaningful human input.

2. Depth & Substance

Certified books show evidence of:

  • Genuine subject knowledge or lived experience
  • Thoughtful organization and development of ideas
  • Content that provides real value to the intended reader

Books created primarily to exploit trends, keywords, or publishing volume — without depth or care — do not qualify.

3. Editorial Care & Readability

The manuscript should demonstrate:

  • Clear structure and logical flow
  • Reasonable editing and proofreading
  • Readability appropriate for the intended audience

The book does not need to be traditionally published or “perfect,” but it must show care and professionalism.

4. Transparency & Integrity

Authors must:

  • Have the right to submit the manuscript for review
  • Accurately represent authorship and tool usage
  • Submit the same version of the book that is being sold or distributed

Misrepresentation may result in rejection or revocation of certification.

5. Overall Reader Trust Signal

Final approval is based on a holistic assessment of whether the book:

  • Signals trust to readers in an AI-crowded marketplace
  • Reflects intentional, human-led creation
  • Meets the spirit — not just the letter — of this certification

What This Certification Is Not

For clarity, Human-Approved Certification™ is not:

  • An AI-detection or scanning service
  • A guarantee of zero AI usage
  • A measure of sales performance or popularity
  • A traditional editorial review or endorsement

Review Outcomes

  • Certification decisions are typically made within 3–5 business days
  • Not all submissions are approved
  • Review fees are non-refundable, as they cover manual assessment time

Authors are welcome to revise and resubmit in the future.
