ARC Readers

Privacy notice

This notice explains how AuthorWing ARC Readers uses your personal data. It applies to readers who join the reader list and authors who submit a book.

Who we are

AuthorWing is run by Jenny Kellett, based in Tenerife, Spain. Contact: submissions@authorwing.com.

What we collect

Readers: your first name, email address, a password (stored encrypted, we can’t see it), country (optional), the topics you choose, how many books you can review, optional links to your Amazon and Goodreads profiles, which books you claim, and links to the reviews you tell us about.
Authors: your name and pen name, email address, and the book details and files you send us.

Why we use it

To send readers emails about books in the topics they chose, deliver the books they claim, and keep track of reviews; and to run early reader campaigns for authors. We rely on your consent (readers) and on taking steps at your request to provide the service (authors).

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run ARC Readers: our website host and form tool (WordPress and SureForms), our email service (MailerLite) and ebook delivery services (the author’s BookFunnel or StoryOrigin account, or our own website). When you claim a book, we may share your first name and the link to your published review with that book’s author. We never share or sell your email address.

How long we keep it

Reader accounts are kept until you delete your account (Dashboard → Profile) or ask us to delete it. Unsubscribing from emails does not delete your account. Records of claimed books and reviews are kept for up to two years so we can report to authors. Author submissions are kept for as long as the campaign runs and then for up to two years.

Your rights

You can see and correct your details, download a copy of your data, or delete your account yourself at any time in your dashboard under Profile. You can also ask us to do any of this, or object to how we use your data, by emailing submissions@authorwing.com. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es).
